chill it out, take it slow

so for the last month or so ive been on a health kick kinda. I made a promise to myself that i would only have desserts on July 25th (my dads birthday) and sept 4th (the day before tour officially starts). which means no desserts from july 25- sept 4. crazy, right? so this means no cake, cookies, brownies, candies, hot chocolate, basically ANYTHING that could even be considered a sweet or dessert. ive also been working out about 5 times a week. twice a wk withmy brother who is an amazing personal trainer and running 3 times a week. so far ive lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks. i feel so much better and i think my skin looks better. A few days ago i ran 3.5 miles, i wanted to give up about 2.5 miles into it, but i pushed ridic hard and just told myself i couldnt stop until a certain point of Wyoming ave in Maplewood. pretty stoked because a 5K is only 3.1 miles. I would love to run one of those.

In addition to all of this, my brother is getting married on sept 1, I have 2 family reunions in August, and i think were filming a vid sometime in August.

Sometimes when im home i work with my mom who is a real estate agent, its a lot of fun actually. Its so much better than a 9-5. BTW, if anyone is reading this wants to buy or sell a house ANYWHERE, or knows anyone who is, let me know. seriously!!!!!!
to wrap up some of the last post, i think i bought a stratocaster. i told the dude i want it and he is holding it until i pay. sweet. lauren really likes it and thats a huge part of it for me, i know if she doesnt like the guitar, then its no good. haha
BY the way, hannah montana rules

Wating on the world

Just wanted to say that i came across John Mayers blog on the internet (http://www.johnmayer.com/blog), and its so insightful, its really worth the read. He has a lot of important things to say. Im glad that his career went in the direction that it did.

Finally, ive been watching a lot of Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel. Im sorry, but its a really good show. I hope that pre-teen girls will look up to her and not someone like Paris Hilton.

Im buying a guitar this week, what should i get???

This City is Full of Hawks

hmm whats been going on? i just watched an amazing movie ON THE WATERFRONT. i like old movies and when something this good is out there and i havent seen it, i feel kind of stupid. Nonetheless, i got it from Netflix and its a classic for a reason. its soo good. its like.... why dont people make good movies anymore. which also leads me to.. why dont ppl make good music anymore. In the old days you got to where you where because you were part of a small insanely talented population. Now, any Joe Blow makes a movie or album and it sounds decent because of technology which in turn makes everything sound the same. You dont know whats good anymore!! Because you cant tell!

Thats a long enough rant. Last night was fun, I went to see my friends Shawn & Marys new place. Its really amazing and im so happy for them. Also, one night Nash and I rotted at my place, watched a Bon Jovi acoustic show thing and YouTubed ppl covering our songs. It was quite amusing and actually very embarrassing and i shouldnt be writing about that. haha

more than meets the eye

so im in austin now. we arrived yesterday at like noon. had some trouble getting our rental car because apparently my licsense expired like 3 days ago, which i was unaware of. two places saw this and denied me a car, then i went to AVIS. i was talking to her a lot to distract her, she never even noticed and i got a for focus y'alllzzzz.

Lauren and i went to the midnight showing of Transformers last night at one of the Alamo Draft Houses (http://www.drafthouse.com). These places are insane, def the coolest movie experience ive ever had. If i had the money i would really think of opening one up in NYC. The movie was sooooo long. Im sure they couldve cut out like 45 mins easily. It was interesting though. I was desperately trying to stay awake for the last 20 mins or so.

Now we're off to a place called Progress Coffee in East Austin. Supposed to be really good breakfast, even though i probably wont get there until noon. Its raining today which is kind of a bummer. Gonna call Robert Mann today and hopefully schedule some sort of 4th of July hang out sesh.
